Bollards Installed to Prevent Unsafe Two-Wheeler Movement and Protect Pedestrians in Vashi

Frequent movement of two-wheelers crossing the divider from Sector 7 (F-Type) Market to Sector 6 (F-Type) Market through the footpath had become a serious safety concern for pedestrians. Such unauthorized movement posed risks to senior citizens, children, and daily walkers using the footpath.
After this issue was observed and brought to the notice of NMMC, immediate action was taken. Bollards were installed today to prevent two-wheelers from crossing the divider and misusing the pedestrian pathway, thereby ensuring improved safety.
In addition, another bollard has been installed near the NMMC parking area next to NMSA, on the footpath leading towards the tree belt, further strengthening pedestrian protection.
These measures are an important step toward safer, more disciplined road usage and demonstrate a commitment to prioritizing pedestrian safety in our ward.
