DIVYA GAIKWAD Speak in General Body meeting for having a THEME PARK IN VASHI…..
In this point of discussion of ‘Smart City’, I would like to bring to the attention
of Commissioner sir that when you speak of ‘Smart City ‘…look at CBD & Nerul
which have proper developed park but Vashi does not have one.
And when you advertise about ‘Smart City ‘, I strongly feel that one such park should
be developed in Vashi.
Instead of developing something very different & new, we should look into what is available with us presently & should be developed innovatively .
In my Ward 64, there is Garden next to Sagar Vihar…it’s a large area & today
I have raise the question of the neglected nursery, which is growing wild without any
care. When asked about Wild shrubs & plants are growing …..I got answer it would stay like that!
I strongly feel you can develop it into a park & generate much needed revenue for
Corporation.
I have submitted letters from residents & public regarding non-availability or provision for Children recreational equipments in such a large Park. My request is that you kindly visit & have an inspection done.
In Vashi, Sagar Vihar was once a tourist spot for Sunrise & sunset…..which is now in a mess with wild undergrowth.
This can be developed into a good tourist spot & possibly generate income. Also I believe it would be one of the most beautiful spot in Vashi close to Waterfront if developed.
My humble request is kindly visit the location & develop it in the near future.
