Monsoon preparedness is crucial for preventing waterlogging and ensuring smooth functioning of essential civic infrastructure. Earlier this year, Divya Vaibhav Gaikwad proactively requested the NMMC Commissioner to install a high-capacity Diesel Generator to support the Storm Water Pumping Station in Sector 8, Vashi, during power outages.
Today, NMMC has successfully installed a 1000 KVA Diesel Generator, a significant step that will enable the pumping station to continue operations even during electricity failure. This ensures that rainwater from the Vashi area can be efficiently pumped into the holding pond without interruption, reducing the risk of flooding and safeguarding residents during heavy downpours.
Divya Gaikwad expressed her appreciation to NMMC for fulfilling this critical requirement, reinforcing her commitment to strengthening monsoon infrastructure and protecting the community.
