With the aim of promoting ‘Go Vocal, For Local’, former Vashi Corporator and co-founder of the Divya Vaibhav Gaikwad Foundation, Divya Vaibhav Gaikwad, organised a special All-Women Diwali Festival Fair. The mela, held on 20th and 21st October, aimed to empower women entrepreneurs while encouraging citizens to support local products during the festive period.
The event brought together women from diverse communities, offering them a platform to display their creativity, handmade crafts, traditional snacks, faral, soaps, jewellery, diyas, fashion accessories, and more. Supporting such melas helps redirect festive shopping away from large e-commerce sites and toward local artisans who depend on these opportunities to sustain their businesses.

Stalls selling a wide variety of items—from homemade diyas to Maharashtrian faral and South Indian delicacies—added colour and vibrance to the event. Visitors could explore soap-making, candles, bangles, earrings, necklaces, and many other beautifully crafted products.
By creating such inclusive events, Divya Vaibhav Gaikwad continues to support women’s empowerment and strengthen local entrepreneurship. These platforms help women expand their network and reach new customers, providing a boost to their businesses during the festive season.
