Today marks a significant milestone for Sector 4, Vashi, as the long-abandoned ESIC buildings at Plot No. 16 have officially entered the demolition phase. These structures remained unoccupied for nearly 46 years, creating an unhealthy environment, becoming an eyesore, and serving as hotspots for miscreants.
For several years, Divya Vaibhav Gaikwad consistently pursued this matter, engaging with Central and State Government authorities, as well as NMMC, through multiple rounds of follow-up meetings and representations. Her persistence has finally resulted in action—demolition work has now begun, bringing relief to nearby residents.
